At all costs…endure, persevere, and win

I hope your holiday was a good one, I hope you learned something eye opening as well.  Im gonna take a little time to help you understand some reasoning behind some things. First off…the fire just started it needs to burn now,

There was this post on facebook today and I wont mention names or nothing but when someone invites artists to play because they have a slot open or whatever and then that artist drives down there and hes turned away because he didn’t bring 10 people or because of some other (i wont say reason) well…

We in (music business) are somehow being distractted way to much by the almighty $ and or reputation. We just cant forget the artists. That’s the REAL reason is because of the art (whatever that might be), unless its money and fame and popularity or a control thing, whatever.

We can’t be blinded by that shallow nonsense. Work hard on your risk taking life as an artist. If its real and genuine, with purpose and meaning….they will come. Patience just isn’t very easy, and the adversity, and to be albe to endure it is rough. But at all costs, we cant sacrifice it, the industry cant afford it, they cant afford it now. They need to be reminded of that and WE do too. Nuf…

Secondly,
This is something that I want to start making a regular spot about. Man, there is so much music and talent around us its got so tough to get noticed, and the competion is thick and probability driven (58585:1) but that can be dealt with if we just became “NICHE BUILDERS.” When building a fan base we should be thinking of that new thing to offer them. It may or may not be tangible but our second Main ingediant, is our fanbase. Building our fanbase, and keeping it strong with new and compelling, thought provoking content. Maybe even, if a person has some kind of “ownership” then he/she will be a good strong fan or “building block.” He/she will joyfully share, and you’ll never have had to ask anything, heck you probably never new him/her anyways. Its not at all easy one bit…building a niche is very difficult. But if there is 1 million niches out here, there has got to be 1 million more, I mean they came from somewhere. Come on in…THE NICHE FACTORY.

Until next time, blessingz
